Transfer Student Advising

Welcome, Transfer Students! George Mason is dedicated to providing information and support to prospective and admitted transfer students to enhance the opportunities to develop strong academic preparation, ensure a smooth and seamless transition to Mason, and to provide the resources necessary for successful progress toward graduation. If you are newly admitted, make sure to complete your next steps.

If you are a prospective transfer student and have questions about admission requirements, transfer credit resources, Guaranteed Admissions Agreement (GAA), or were denied acceptance, contact the Office of Transfer Services.

If you are a NOVA student in the ADVANCE program, see the ADVANCE program website for more information. If you are not in the ADVANCE program but are interested in applying, see the ADVANCE admissions website for more information.

If you are a prospective or current transfer student who has academic planning questions, which include choosing a major or course selection, contact the appropriate department for your major of interest or declared major. If you do not have a particular major in mind, you can contact Exploratory Academic Advising.
