[ALIZA BRODY] I chose Touro because of the warm environment that they're known for and for their great faculty, and because I really want to be able to help others and I want to be able to care for people in all different ways.

[NATASHA MAYORAL] So for the entire process of becoming a professional, I knew that this environment is what I would need to be in, and I love it here.

[ALIZA BRODY] So the teachers at Touro, not only do they provide us the knowledge that we need, but they also teach us how to critically think and to be able to

[ALIZA BRODY] look at the patient as a whole, look at them as a person. It's not just the textbook says this, that's what we follow.

[MEI KONG] compassionate nurses that are patient-centered that will take care of patients in the best way possible.

[DESCRIPTION] Students in scrubs practice performing CPR on a dummy.

[NATASHA MAYORAL] The nursing profession is very broad. You can do so much with it. And I think that's another reason why I chose it. You're not limited. Some people join the ER, the ICU, the MedSurg unit.

[MARCIA JONES-GEORGE] They work in critical care units, they're on medical units. They go on to become nurse practitioners. They go on to make a difference in people's lives.

[DESCRIPTION] A student sits with her professor in a lounge and they discuss notes that are on her tablet.

[ALIZA BRODY] I definitely feel like I made connections with a lot of the teachers. Even after I graduate, I really feel like I could email them with any questions that I might have, whether it's with resume writing or job interviews. I really feel like they're going to be there to help me in any way.

[MEI KONG] Because Touro is such a unique school, they have a closer relationship with the students.

[MEI KONG] And because it's a continuity from one year to the next, we get to know our students really well.

[DESCRIPTION] A professor lectures to a group of students sitting in front of large desktop computers.

[ALIZA BRODY] It's definitely a rigorous program. It's definitely challenging, it's definitely stressful at times. But you know what? At the end of the day, it's a very rewarding experience and very fulfilling.

[MEI KONG] I have a few students who already got job offers before they even graduate. That indicates that there is a great connection with our community.

[DESCRIPTION] A group of nursing students practice with CPR, tubing, and oxygen masks on a mannequin patient.

[NATASHA MAYORAL] It's rewarding for the person that does choose to do it. You are with the patient, you see their good days and you see their bad days, and you get to be a part of that. For me, that's something I wanted to do.

[ALIZA BRODY] Help people and be there for people and to be compassionate and help others.

[MARCIA JONES-GEORGE] Our students are known to be great people, and they are known that if they went through this program, they're the cream of the crop.
